Need Credit Repair?

Understanding credit and using it wisely is an important part of your financial security and the home buying process. It impacts far more than just getting a mortgage loan including insurance rates, apartment rental and even employment.

Low credit scores and high debt can be obstacles to buying home, but this doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dream of homeownership. It means you have some work to do.

Credit reports: If you don’t have a recent credit report,  visit http://www.annualcreditreport.com/ for more information on credit reports and to get your reports free. You are entitled to each of your reports from TransUnion, Experian and Equifax each year.

Building credit:  Building good credit is essential to a good credit score. It is not enough to pay off old collection debts. Credit builder loans and secured credit cards can be a good place to start. Check with your bank or credit union or contact one of our members to see how they can help.
